Digicel Rising Stars' new chill room host will be Kimone

The Digicel Rising Stars chill room got a new face on Sunday night as the new host, simply known as 'Kimone', was unveiled to the crowd.
Kimone may have come as a surprise to audiences who were expecting personality Miss Kitty to be the new host, as was previously announced.
According to the show's producer Sharon Schroeter, Miss Kitty was advised by the producers that she would no longer be hosting the chill room.
Cameka 'Kimone' McRae was one of the contestants in the host auditions that the show recently held. While Lady Renae got the most votes making her the new Rising Stars host, according to Schroeter, Kimone got the second highest votes.
Schroeter told : "A lot of people liked her and we decided we needed a fresh face in the chill room, and here she is."

The chill room, where the contestants are interviewed weekly by the host and surprise guest artistes, has been a part of Digicel Rising Stars since 2006. Until this year, the chill room was hosted by Kiki, who recently left the show.
When spoke to Kimone, she disclosed that she received the news of being the new host last Thursday and was calm, yet excited, at the beginning. While she did not make it as the new show host she said, "I feel just as good."
Kimone is a 27-year-old TV producer for Pulse TV who described herself as being vibrant and creative, saying, "I have a passion for media and I love what I do."
For Kimone, her first experience in the chill room was a nervous one that she hopes to overcome throughout the season. She said: "I'm not a shy person, so I expect to be more relaxed, ask more questions so that people can get to know the contestants better, and to be a little bit more natural."

Another new addition to the chill room is DJ Rush, who will be providing the musical vibes throughout the season. Digicel Rising Stars winner Romain Virgo made the first guest appearance and gave the contestants well-needed advice and encouragement.
