Beenie Man signs new girl Pretti Kitti














The latest addition to Beenie Man's MD Entertainment label is a 21-year-old female artiste who goes by the moniker Pretti Kitti.
She is known for her collaboration with The Doctor, Sugar Plum Plum, which was a popular tracks on Seanizzle's 'Split Personality' rhythm.

Born Toisan Cazley, she fondly remembers and thanks deejay Fambo for introducing her to Beenie Man and making the connection possible.

She had high praise for the artistes, "Being around Moses and Fambo is a learning process. I have to be trying to keep up with dem and be taking a couple pages from their books."
Her recordings include Joy To My Soul, Nah Go Lef on Lazim's 'Cyclist' rhythm, Come Over, a collaboration with Timberlee on the Fams House record label, and Me Nah Play Wid Yu, with Deva Bratt for Notice Production.

She has an upcoming performance at a show at Barrow Bridge Lawn in St Ann on February 26 alongside Fambo, Timberlee and Charly Black.
Looking forward to a busy 2011, she said, "For the rest of the year, it's just work, work work. Nuff recording, trying to get better at it each time."
Pretti Kitti hopes to be recognised as an international artiste.
"I have an aim and big dreams. It's just this futuristic view of stuff that I want to get done," she said

MAN SHORTAGE AFFECTS CHURCHES IN JAMAICA - Christian women complain of lack of potential husbands

he shortage of men has become a growing problem in several Jamaican churches. The st ar understands that with some church population having as much as 80 per cent women, a large number of females have been left with a problem to find husbands. This is a huge concern for a number of churches, with at least one reverend saying the shortage is at a crisis level.Reverend Philbert Johnson, ministry development officer in the New Testament Church of God, said there is a serious shortage in the number of men in the church as women in their 30s and late 40s cannot find a suitable partner. Johnson, a pastor at one of the Testament branches, said at that location he had approximately 300 members of which only 40 were men. He further said that approximately 20 of those are already married.
