Sky Juice hosts 25th birthday celebration tomorrow at Oniel Place

Iconic sound-system selector Sky Juice is gearing up to host the 25th staging of his annual birthday celebration, called 'The Birthday Party of All Birthday Parties'. It will be held tomorrow and, according to the selector, his party will give patrons a superior package of music.

Sky Juice has been active in the local music industry for over 30 years, as the strong man for Metro Media sound system. The selector is known for his onstage humour and performance tactics, such as exposing his huge belly to his audience. However, for his birth night celebration, he simply wants to chill with his family and friends from the entertainment industry.
MUSIC INDUSTRY SUPPORT
"It's my birthday and it's special to me and it also keeps me connected with my friends and families. At this time of the year, I always get a big support from the music industry - people like Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Tarrus Riley and Downsound Records never leave me out," Sky Juice said. The party will be hosted at Oneil's Place, 33 Hagley Park Road, St Andrew, and gates will open at 10 p.m.
The event will be a red carpet and 'fashionably loud affair', so patrons are encouraged to dress to raise eyebrows. DJs booked to play on the night are DJ Boom Boom, Foota Hype, Gary Chunks and Glen Stinger. The event will also feature long-standing sound systems like Metro Media, Travellers and Stone Love Movements.
Sky Juice promises to deliver a cool and rounded vibe.
"Every genre of music will be played. Yu know Sky Juice is a versatile selector already; trust me, everybody will leave this party with a nice feeling. A 25 years mi a duh it fah and it never disappoints," he said.
The selector is currently executing a vibrant promotional campaign targeting the radio and street-party audience. He disclosed that the response from his target market has been positive and credits the positive feedback to his mannerisms. "People respect mi the music business. After 30 years, I have never gotten in any conflicts with people, so I can always look to getting love and support from my supporters," Sky Juice said.
Admission to the party is $1,000.
