Miss Jamaica World Yendi Phillips seeks $ 60,000 per month from Chino for child support

Media personality Yendi Phillipps has filed for full custody of her daughter with dancehall entertainer, Chino, whose real name is Daniel McGregor.
The application was filed in the Supreme Court this week by the law firm Nelson-Brown, Guy and Francis.

Phillipps, a former Miss Jamaica World (2007) and Miss Jamaica Universe (2010), is asking the court to grant her custody, care and control of the child, born in September 2012.
She is also seeking $60,000 per month in maintenance for the two-year-old.
Phillipps is further asking the court to order Chino to pay half of the child's medical and educational expenses.

As part of the custody arrangement, Phillipps is asking the court to grant the dancehall entertainer access to the child twice during the week for three hours and once every weekend for seven hours.
She has been ordered to serve the application on the defendant.
No date has yet been set for the matter to be heard.
Phillipps and McGregor set off a social media firestorm in 2012 with the announcement of her pregnancy and speculation about an engagement.

However, in February, it was reported in the media that the two had ended their relationship.
Reacting to reports of her court filing last night, Phillips took to her Facebook page where she said she believed it was unfortunate that, due to the former couple's public image, "I was not given the privilege of privacy, especially since this is a matter that involves our minor child".
She added: "This is a pending legal matter which is before the court and as such I am not able to comment. I have complete confidence in the justice system and I await my opportunity to fully ventilate the issues before the court. Until then, the care and protection of our daughter is paramount and I implore that responsible journalism prevail."
