CONTROVERSIAL deejay Vybz Kartel has admitted that many of his actions are engineered to draw attention to himself and by extension his musical career. Speaking in reference to the bleaching of his skin, Kartel noted that "people are like sheep and I am the shepherd, they are easy to lead. The latest addition to Beenie Man's MD  Entertainment label is a 21-year-old female artiste who goes by the moniker Pretti Kitti. She is known for her collaboration with The Doctor, Sugar Plum Plum , which was a popular tracks on Seanizzle's 'Split Personality' rhythm. Born Toisan Cazley, she fondly remembers and thanks deejay Fambo for introducing her to Beenie Man and making the connection possible.

Despite having Vybz Kartel and his former mentor and rival Bounty Killer on the same event, promoter for Follow Di Arrow, Dexton Ennis, says it will not hinder the event's positive theme. The buzz has begun around the event which will see its 11th staging this Saturday at James Bond Beach in Oracabessa, St Mary. Deejays Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel will both be on the show, Bounty having been a long time staple at the event, while this will mark Vybz Kartel's second performance on the show since his split from the Bounty Killer-led Alliance in 2006. The two deejays have long had unresolved issues between them and a recent performance at Club Ville at Margaritaville, Montego Bay, saw 'The Warlord' taking lyrical swipes at Kartel's 'skin bleaching' practices, leaving many believing that Follow Di Arrow will be seeing the two throwing a few lyrical shots.

Jamaica's reggae superstar Buju Banton, real name Mark Myrie, was found guilty of three cocaine related charges Deejay and close friend of Buju, Spragga Benz said he was disappointed. "Disappointed, really disappointed. Buju just gwaan hold the faith. Mi know seh him have wi support 100 per cent same way," he said. Top female deejay Lady Saw was short on words. She said she had just landed in Jamaica when she got the news. "It cuts deep. I can't find the words to express how I feel. It's just a sad day, " she said. FLORIDA, USA – Reggae star Buju Banton was found guilty on three charges by a 12- at the United States Sam M Gibbons Federal Court here in Tampa. The artiste was found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five or more kilogrammes of cocaine, attempted possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and using the wires to facilitate a drug-trafficking offence. However he was found not guilty of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking offence. The artiste hugged his lawyer David Markus when the verdict was read. Many of the artiste's supporters left the courtroom crying. He has been detained and has had his bail revoked..
