Vybz Kartel and fashion designer remanded today

Dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel was on Monday morning again remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on a charge of murder. Twenty-three year old fashion designer, Calvin Haye otherwise called "Moonie" who is charged jointly with him, was also remanded.

As Vybz Kartel Empire begins to crumble under pressure from Jamaican Law Enforcement officials, another associate of the deejay was charged. The “Cake Soap” deejay’s booking agent Clavin Haye, also known as Moonie, was formally charged with murder yesterday following questioning by police in the presence of his attorney Tom Tavares-Finson.

Portmore Empire member Shawn Storm is back behind bars for the second time in the last two weeks. Storm, whose real name is Shawn Campbell, was summoned by the Constant Spring Police earlier this week.

Vybz Kartel Remanded Back Into Custody On Ganja Charge today

Embattled dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel was this morning remanded back into custody when he faced the judge on marijuana possession charges. The “Cake Soap” deejay will return to the Corporate Area Resident magistrate’s Court on October 31st for another hearing on said charge.

Vybz Kartel’s book to be published despite his legal troubles

Although dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel is behind bars, his team is hard at work. The publishers of Kartel’s book have decided that they are going ahead with the release of the book Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto in time for the Christmas holidays. In a statement the publishers said there was never doubt on their part as to whether they were going to complete production of the book as they believe it has a very powerful message that Jamaica must be aware of.
