Today’s Clovis Cartoon – Vybz Kartel with Carolyn Cooper









The observer Vybz Kartel has long been a favoured subject for Jamaica Observer cartoonist, Clovis. Earlier this week, he did a cartoon that featured Kartel being carted off to jail, and in his latest cartoon today, Clovis references March 2011 when Dr. Carolyn Cooper (seen holding his picture in the cartoon below) invited him to ‘lecture’ as a guest of the Department of Literatures in English and the Centre for Gender and Development Studies at the University of the West Indies (UWI).


The cartoon shows Professor Gordon Shirley (Principal of the UWI, Mona Campus) berating Dr. Cooper.
