Vybz Kartel loses hair extensions


IT was a bald headed Vybz Kartel that appeared in the Home Circuit Court in downtown, Kingston this afternoon to answer to a murder charge.


Dressed in a navy blue suit and a striped tie, the Deejay was led into court by officers.

He has been locked behind bars since September 30 last year after cops from the Flying Squad raided a hotel in New Kingston and arrested him and other persons who were in his company.
Kartel and his co-accused, Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald, are charged with the murder of businessman Barrington Bryan who was killed in Gregory Park, St Catherine last year.

MAN SHORTAGE AFFECTS CHURCHES IN JAMAICA - Christian women complain of lack of potential husbands

he shortage of men has become a growing problem in several Jamaican churches. The st ar understands that with some church population having as much as 80 per cent women, a large number of females have been left with a problem to find husbands. This is a huge concern for a number of churches, with at least one reverend saying the shortage is at a crisis level.Reverend Philbert Johnson, ministry development officer in the New Testament Church of God, said there is a serious shortage in the number of men in the church as women in their 30s and late 40s cannot find a suitable partner. Johnson, a pastor at one of the Testament branches, said at that location he had approximately 300 members of which only 40 were men. He further said that approximately 20 of those are already married.
