Chronixx to appear on NBC's Tonight Show
Chronixx, one of Jamaica's most promising young Reggae artistes, will be performing live on the Tonight Show on NBC on Tuesday night.
This is being widely interpreted as a major achievement for the young artiste who has been enjoying steady success only in the last couple of years.
Since his appearance on the charts in Jamaica with the song “Ten steps ahead ah dem”, Chronixx has amassed a huge following, not only in the Dancehall/Reggae markets but also the USA underground scene.
Jimmy Fallon, host of the Tonight Show (until recently hosted by Jay Leno) is very excited about the opportunity to share Chronixx’s talents with the world. This was obvious when spoke about the upcoming performance: “I’m very excited about this… we booked him. This guy Chronixx will be here. He is awesome! In Jamaica they love him. They say he could be the next Marley mon. Their accent is better than mine of course” he joked “But nobody knows him in the US unless you’re a big reggae fan. So we’re gonna give him his debut right here.”
Since then social media has been abuzz with talk of the highly anticipated appearance, and with Jamaicans and other fans of Chronixx sharing Fallon’s video.
