Promoter says Not an Alliance show about Follow Di Arrow - How Bounty feel now?

Promoter Dexton Ennis yesterday dismissed notions that Follow Di Arrow is an Alliance show.  He explained that the show got its name from Bounty Killer's song of the same name. And at the time when he started the show, Ennis said he had very close affiliations to the Alliance leader. "The show is branded as an Alliance show and I want to defuse that. It is not an Alliance show, it is a show for the people. It is for everybody, every dancehall artiste work pon the show already," he told the weekend star.

Kartel has been embroiled in controversy over the visible lightening of his skin, admitting to the use of 'cake soap' which has grabbed the attention of overseas websites and radio stations. Last week allhiphop.com , as well as www.rollingout.com discussed the deejay's skin lightening. On allhiphop.com , Kartel was featured with the headline 'Hip-Hop Rumors: Dark-Skin Reggae Artist Lightens Skin' in which they wrote, "I thought black was beautiful!? 1,268 Jamaicans deported the from US

NEW YORK, United States — A total of 1,268 Jamaicans were deported by United States authorities last year, continuing a downward trend since 2008 when the number totalled 1,603 followed by 1,480 in 2009. Clifford Chambers, the security attaché at the Jamaican Embassy in Washington, said in an interview that more than 300 other Jamaicans have exhausted deportation proceedings and have been given final removal orders, while orders are pending against another 488.

Speaking with the star yesterday, Tiki, whose real name is Clovette Harris, said she was baptised three weeks ago at the New Testament Church of God in Palmers Cross, Clarendon. "It is something I always wanted to do. I was always a God person, even though I am an entertainer. I always go to church. I was just home and I just said I am ready, and went to the church," said Tiki, who won the competition in 2009, alongside Poor and Boasy.

HE was hoping for his break that would put him on the world stage as an entertainer like his adopted father and friend Ritchie Stevens, but the voice of 22-year-old Demar Graham, whose stage name was Copper Cat, was silenced late Thursday night by a single shot to his chest outside the gate of his Kingston 10 home. "Can someone tell me this is a dream," pleaded Stevens who struggled to come to terms with the reality that the 14-year relationship he had with Graham had come to a tragic end. Only a few hours before he had dropped off Graham at the nearby MegaMart store along Waterloo Road where he had gone to purchase credit for his new BlackBerry phone.

Artiste Ryno pleads guilty to offensive weapon charge

Black Ryno. Dancehall artiste, Black Ryno has been slapped with a $4 ,000 fine or 30 days in prison after he pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon. Ryno, whose real name is Romain Anderson, appeared before the Half- Way-Tree Criminal Court on Thursday on a charge of assault.

The rush, which started from before the stores were opened, eventually resulted in the telecoms provider suspending the offer, which it cleverly titled the 'Buju Trade-in Special', at mid- afternoon, leaving large numbers of people disappointed.
