Promoter says Not an Alliance show about Follow Di Arrow - How Bounty feel now?

Promoter Dexton Ennis yesterday dismissed notions that Follow Di Arrow is an Alliance show.

He explained that the show got its name from Bounty Killer's song of the same name. And at the time when he started the show, Ennis said he had very close affiliations to the Alliance leader.
"The show is branded as an Alliance show and I want to defuse that. It is not an Alliance show, it is a show for the people. It is for everybody, every dancehall artiste work pon the show already," he told the weekend star.

"Me di promoter feel compelled to get an artiste as long as they are doing well and the price is right. Only the people can dictate who dem want."
And that seems to be the case, as the show will have Vybz Kartel as one of the headliners. Ennis said this will be his second performance on the show since his split from the Bounty Killer-led Alliance in 2006.

The show, which will be held at James Bond Beach in St Mary on February 26, will also have other artistes like Mavado, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, I-Octane, Assassin, Anthony B, Mr Lex, Future Fambo, Cocoa Tea, George Nooks, Gyptian and others.
With this year's theme being 'Be Positive', Ennis hopes the show sets a positive trend.
"Being the first dancehall show for the year, we want to set the trend and have a positive show. The plan is just to approach the thing in a positive way," Ennis said.
While his major sponsor is Magnum Tonic Wine, he explained that he would still like to get more funding.

"I am open to whoever will. Based on not getting sponsorship, you have to dig deep into your pocket," said Ennis noting that part proceeds from his event will to the St Mary Infirmary.
Nonetheless, he hopes the show will do well.
"I hope that I will have a good show and turnout. There is a buzz about the show, so I just have to hope for the best. We want to have a good time and bring back some things to dancehall. Mi a beg the people and the artistes to come out early. If a guy fi work 20 minutes and the show starts late, fi him time cut to 10," Ennis said.
