Artiste Ryno pleads guilty to offensive weapon charge
Black Ryno. Dancehall artiste, Black Ryno has been slapped with a $4 ,000 fine or 30 days in prison after he pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon.
Ryno, whose real name is Romain Anderson, appeared before the Half- Way-Tree Criminal Court on Thursday on a charge of assault.
It is alleged that sometime last year he and the manager for Vybz Kartel, Corey Todd, were involved in an altercation at the MegaMart Store in St. Andrew. It is alleged that Ryno pulled a knife during the fight. As a result he was charged with assault and possession of an offensive weapon. However the charge of assault was dropped after Mr. Todd decided not to pursue the matter.
