French News Agency Lemonde Calls Vybz Kartel “White Clown Of Kingston” [Info]

 


These days when you think of bleaching, Vybz Kartel is among the first persons that comes to mind.

In a publications that addresses the growing trend of skin bleaching in Jamaica, French News Agency Lemonde describe the Worl’Boss as the “white clown of Kingston.”


In their publication, the newspaper singled out Vybz Kartel as the reason for the explosion of the bleaching epidemic in Jamaica.

“The whitening of the skin was already an epidemic in Jamaica for ten years. But the influence of Vybz Kartel has accelerated the trend. It made ??it even more cool,” Lemonde writer Arnaud Robert wrote.
“By expanding his legend of a thug judicial legitimacy, Vybz Kartel has become what he always claimed to be: a scarecrow which an entire country can not detach his eyes,” writer Arnaud Robert added.
An anonymous bleacher in Kingston told Robert that she bleach her skin for style and it attracts boys more.
“Market downtown Kingston, on each stall, dozens of brands more or less homemade creams are on sale for 2 or 3 U.S. dollars. “If I bleached the skin, for style , says Keesha, 28, face crimson. I draw the attention of boys more if I’m clear. Everybody does that in Jamaica. Vybz Kartel is the first male artist who whitens the skin. It is beautiful.”"
Vybz Kartel, who made international headlines last year, is current behind bars awaiting trial on a double murder charge. His next court date is February 2nd.

MAN SHORTAGE AFFECTS CHURCHES IN JAMAICA - Christian women complain of lack of potential husbands

he shortage of men has become a growing problem in several Jamaican churches. The st ar understands that with some church population having as much as 80 per cent women, a large number of females have been left with a problem to find husbands.
