Popular emcee Nuffy still in jail - Has not been charged for gun find



Emcee Nuffy who was arrested after an illegal gun was found in a car in which he was travelling in, is still in police custody.


The emcee, who was one of several who worked at the recently held Sting stage show, was detained along with an ex-soldier who police investigators believe is a member of the Dog Paw gang.

Up to late yesterday none of the men had been charged in connection with the seizure. The emcee has also done several recordings. Investigators told the star that the men were held about 2:30 p.m., when a Toyota Corolla motor car they were in, was intercepted along the Nelson Mandela Highway.
Police reportedly conducted a thorough search of the vehicle during which a Norinco 9mm pistol with four live rounds of ammunition was found.

Both men were taken into custody on suspicion of illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

MAN SHORTAGE AFFECTS CHURCHES IN JAMAICA - Christian women complain of lack of potential husbands

he shortage of men has become a growing problem in several Jamaican churches. The st ar understands that with some church population having as much as 80 per cent women, a large number of females have been left with a problem to find husbands. This is a huge concern for a number of churches, with at least one reverend saying the shortage is at a crisis level.Reverend Philbert Johnson, ministry development officer in the New Testament Church of God, said there is a serious shortage in the number of men in the church as women in their 30s and late 40s cannot find a suitable partner. Johnson, a pastor at one of the Testament branches, said at that location he had approximately 300 members of which only 40 were men.
