MAN DISSES ADIONA, GETS STABBED








The St Ann police are now searching for the persons responsible for a stabbing incident that took place during an artiste's performance at a club last weekend.



Information reaching THE STAR is that on Saturday, about 5 a.m., a man had to be taken to the St Ann's Bay Hospital after he was stabbed during an event at Club Amnesia in Ocho Rios, St Ann.


THE STAR understands that Aidonia was headlining an event dubbed "Ova Loaded" at the club on Friday and during his performance in the wee hours of Saturday morning the incident unfolded.
"Di man did a diss di artiste and di people dem neva did too like dat," a witness explained.


THE STAR further understands that a man who is alleged to have been a part of the deejay's entourage could be implicated in the incident.

When contact was made with the Ocho Rios police yesterday they confirmed the incident, and added that they are still collecting information to complete their investigation

MAN SHORTAGE AFFECTS CHURCHES IN JAMAICA - Christian women complain of lack of potential husbands

he shortage of men has become a growing problem in several Jamaican churches. The st ar understands that with some church population having as much as 80 per cent women, a large number of females have been left with a problem to find husbands. This is a huge concern for a number of churches, with at least one reverend saying the shortage is at a crisis level.Reverend Philbert Johnson, ministry development officer in the New Testament Church of God, said there is a serious shortage in the number of men in the church as women in their 30s and late 40s cannot find a suitable partner. Johnson, a pastor at one of the Testament branches, said at that location he had approximately 300 members of which only 40 were men.
