Gabriel Received Threats after Refusing to Voice for Popular Producer
Female artist Gabriel popularly know for “My Boy Lollipop” remake with Rodney “Bounty Killer” price was threatened yesterday after she refused to voice for a popular producer who approached her with a rhythm track for her to “vibe”. Persons who witnessed the incident claim that the producer appeared to be drunk at the time of the confrontation.
The artist was threatened and verbally mistreated when she told the producer that she is now under new management, signed to a label and has gotten directives not to voice for anyone at present. She also told the producer that she would inform him as soon as she gets the go ahead to do so.
Sources told reporters that the producer became very abusive and threw several expletives and degrading utterances at the artist. Gabriel who was said to be alone at the time drove away from the scene. Her attacker tried to chase her but witnesses said that he was barred from doing so by his entourage who also believe that he was not in his right mind when he approached Gabriel.
When we contacted the artist she refused to comment on the matter.
She however confirmed that the incident did occur but she did not feel comfortable discussing it with the media.
The artist who came on the scene after remaking Millie Small’s hit single with Bounty Killer seem to be on a low profile these days .She mentioned that she is in fact under new management and in the process of making new music with her new team.
Gabriel said that her management team does not believe in having their artist voicing for all sorts of producers and appearing on every rhythm as it will affect future record deal opportunities.
“My manager, Joseph Williams instructs me to keep my music and recording exclusive” she said.
He knows what’s best for me and I trust him to make certain decisions for my career. If I can honour this wish, then I do not see why it cannot be appreciated by others “the artist said.
