Dancehall duo RDX is now venting its anger at what the members, Delomar and Renegade, describe as bad business ethics displayed by promoters. The two spoke of bad past experiences with promoters; but the most recent, they said, was while in Europe for a show earlier this month.

Speaking with the Renegade said, "We went abroad to do a particular show, because the promoters were advertising that RDX was going to be on the show. Usually, they should pay a 50 per cent deposit, but that wasn't paid by the promoter. Is another guy weh did have connections to the event, and a try avoid his reputation being damaged, ended up paying us."

He added: "Mi even get a call this morning, one of my fellow dancehall artiste dem a tell mi seh di same ting happen to them, the promoters don't want to pay any money. What they do is, they tell the people that the artiste going be on the show and in the middle of the show now, they announce that the artiste not coming to the show, for whatever reason. Dem blame the artiste, and the promoter get weh scotch-free."
Delomar also pointed out that there are two sides to the story, as the promoters are not always the ones at fault, as artistes oftentimes provoke them to behave unprofessional.
"Yuh still have nuff artiste weh mek it bad fi di rest still. Some a dem get all 100 per cent deposit, and still nah guh di man dem show," he said.
"When the artistes and the promoters behave that way it paint a negative image for Jamaican artistes. Di whole a wi lose, only the promoter them gain. Wi a go do sumting about it still, wi hold a reasoning wah day about it, an wi a go talk to some other artiste and see wah wi can do, because we a nuh di first person dem do it to and we nah guh be the last," he continued.
RDX said fans can look out for new songs from the group as they are working closely with Crush Proof Records, Ballaz Productions, Equinoxx Productions and Birchill Records to put the finishing touches on their album which is scheduled for release early next year.
