Artiste to return to court in January to answer ganja charge
Dancehall entertainer Otis 'Round-head' Morrison pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of ganja, when he returned to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
At the same time, the forensic certificate was still outstanding and the investigating officer was absent.
Roundhead then had his bail extended until December 8 but asked the court if he could be accommodated for a later date as he would be going on tour.
Roundhead's request was later granted and he is now expected to return to court on January 31.
The entertainer was taken into police custody in August when he was searched by a police officer while he was on a premises on Red Hills Road.
It is alleged that the search revealed an ounce of vegetable matter resembling ganja which was found in Roundhead's pocket.
He was later taken to the Constant Spring Police Station.
Roundhead is a member of the dancehall group Monster Hemp Higher.
He is also known for hits such as, Probably You Never Heard and Weed is Life.
