Two alleged members of Gaza Empire freed of murder charges

Two alleged members of the Gaza empire in Waterford, St Catherine, have been freed of murder.

The men, Lenburgh McDonald and Raymond Wilson, were freed on Thursday, during a Preliminary Enquiry hearing before the Gun Court section of the Corporate Area Criminal Court.

McDonald and Wilson were charged for the murder of Castelle Parks in Havendale, St Andrew.

However, the prosecution's case crashed on Thursday, when the key eye witness told the enquiry that he made a mistake at the identification parade and pointed out the wrong men.

Following an application by defence attorney, Michael Deans, magistrate, Shelly Williams, ordered the release of the men.
However, McDonald remains behind bars as he's charged jointly with the head of the Gaza Empire, Vybz Kartel, in another murder case.

Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adijah Palmer, McDonald, and another accused, Nigel Thompson, have been charged for the murder of music promoter, Barrington Burton.
Burton was gunned down in Gregory Park, St. Catherine, in July 2011.
