Vivian Blake is dead - Former shower posse leader dies at UHWI

Infamous Shower Posse founder and former leader Vivian Blake died last night at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI),  understands.
Blake died after being ill for some time and was reportedly suffering from diabetes.
Efforts to get comments from the hospital and close relatives proved futile up to late last night.
Blake arrived in Jamaica on January 29 last year, after spending more than eight years behind bars in the United States.
Blake landed at the Norman Manley International Airport and was afterwards taken to the CIB headquarters where he was processed.
He was sentenced to 28 years in 2000 when he admitted to racketeering and criminal conspiracy that allegedly culminated in about 1,400 murders.
He never faced a jury after inking a plea-bargain deal, which resulted in the time he served while in Jamaica being used as part of his sentence.
