Although people were anxious to see a clash between deejays Chozenn and Juggla, it was the singjay Press Fyah who surprised the audience at Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall when he put up a challenge against Juggla in the talent show at Weekenz last Saturday night.

In previous weeks, deejays Juggla and Chozenn have been at each other's throats, leaving people yearning for a lyrical face-off between them. When it was announced that Chozenn was eliminated from the competition, patrons at Weekenz booed loudly. There were also people who blamed his elimination on the fact that he tried to grab the microphone from Juggla the previous week while in the Lucky Dollar Lounge.
Before the clash began, many people expressed disappointment that Press Fyah would be Juggla's opponent. "It look a way fi Juggla clash this ya man ya. A suicidal thing," one man said as the face-off was about to begin.
Eventually, the two took the stage, Press Fyah, dressed in full black, and Juggla wearing a black coat with touches of camouflage print. Press Fyah began on a shaky note, saying 'level' repeatedly and asking the audience to be quiet and listen to his lyrics. Some of the lyrics connected with the people and had them in a frenzy.
Then there was a back and forth banter between the two. Juggla got some big forwards for his lyrics. However, he faltered when he continued to make regular references to Chozenn. Some people started to boo when it became obvious that he came fully prepared to clash one contestant and not the other.
Press Fyah got the judges' nod.
"Juggla held his own. Press Fyah rose to the occasion," Miss Kitty said. Professor Nuts said: "It look like Press Fyah hide him ammunition from wi. Everybody did think seh Press Fyah a underdog but dem neva know seh Press Fyah could gash. Sometimes yuh not to underestimate your opponent."

Meanwhile, the women seemed more prepared for each other. Reggae Queen came out firing her ammunition.

"Mek mi start wid Bumpa, weh a tek off Mysterious jumpa. Tanto seh yuh big like Chozenn backyard. Yuh waan bathe. Press Fyah seh yuh full a dust. Weekenz, di gal a carry virus. A di same old lyrics yuh chatting back, come off a di stage 'cause yuh chatting crap," she said.
But Bumpa failed to connect with the audience, as her punch lines did not hit the right note and were sometimes met with boos or weak applauses.
"The ladies are going hard. Right about now it look like Reggae Queen a di Samurai," said Miss Kitty. Guest judge Cobra said: "Reggae Queen yuh see you, yuh love fight, yuh love war. Bumpa, yuh put on the army suit but yuh need fi be more sure."

After Chozenn and Mysterious were booted from the competition, the remaining contestants moved the crowd in their first stint. Cobra was especially impressed with Juggla.
When Reggae Queen went onstage for the second time, she hurled many insults at Bumpa, referring to her as a 'big dump' and one who resembles a crocodile. Bumpa did not take the words lying down. She responded by calling her opponent a 'streggae queen'. She also said, "Ugly face caan hide wid makeup. Reggae Queen fi stop walk and trus' clothes from Selma down a Arcade."
The men, however, reserved the word-throwing for the clash at the end of the show. They also got good responses from the audience.

As part of the show's package, there were designs on display from CY Clothing. The Magnum girls and the Jamaican Michael Jackson had a well-choreographed dance routine. During the breaks, selectors Boom Boom and Doctor C thrilled the audience with songs such as Aidonia's Bad People, Mavado's Gal A Mad Ova and Richie Loops' My Cupp.
